Who are the most beautiful babies in Allegany County? Whose pet is the prettiest? The Western Maryland Jaycees will let the public decide with the ninth annual Beautiful Baby and Prettiest Pet Contest at the Allegany County Fair July 16th through the 23rd. Photos of baby boys and girls from birth to 36 months will be displayed at the Jaycees’ booth under the grandstand at the Allegany County Fair from July 16th through the 23rd and fair-goers can cast their votes for their favorite photos. Votes are just one penny and the baby boy, baby girl and dog or cat which receives the highest number of votes will be named the winners and receive a package of prizes from area businesses. To enter a photo in the contest simply submit a digital photo through the website here. Entry fee is just $5 per photo.
The contests have proven to be a popular attraction at the fair with over 100 entries expected this year. In 2010 Noah Dicken was voted most beautiful boy, Ava Shockey most beautiful girl, and Priscilla the dog was voted the prettiest pet. To enter the photo contest visit the website www.wmdjaycees.org/contest or send a photo and $5 registration fee to: Western Maryland Jaycees, P.O. Box 1333, Cumberland, MD 21501- 1333.
